BJP Projecting their Culture by Posting Derogatory Comments against me – Pratibha Kulai
Mangaluru: “On the social media some so-called Hindus from the BJP are posting derogatory comments against me. They talk about culture but if we go through their comments on the social media we can guess their mental state! A small group belonging to the BJP are projecting their culture and by this, they are projecting all Mangaloreans in bad light. If we analyze their behaviour, we can imagine how safe we will be if we support that party,” said Corporator Pratibha Kulai in a press meet held at the DCC office Mallikatta here on April 29.
Addressing the mediapersons Pratibha Kulai said, “Four years ago I had clicked my photo with a cow and posted it on the social media which was not noticed by anyone. But recently when I visited the Gaushala I had clicked a photo with the cows and posted on the facebook. The so-called BJP members had commented in an abusive manner saying, “They are killers of cows”, and other derogatory comments. There is a group which is provocating others to comment against me. Those who are commenting against me have the lotus symbol on their FB profile.”
Pratibha Kulai further said, “For not giving a post in the Congress party, Harikrishna Bantwal cheated the party and joined the BJP. When Harikrishna was in the Congress, the BJP leaders were making a big issue of Bharati’s killing in Bantwal but now Harikrishna Bantwal being in the BJP is not raising his voice. What is the contribution of Harikrishna Bantwal for the Billawa Community? Now when the elections are nearing he has joined the BJP and is talking about the Billawa community. In Moodbidri Jagadish Adhikari stated that he is aware of the murder of Hindu activists. He had also locked the BJP office in Moodbidri. He has guts to lock the BJP office as he knows the secret behind the murders of Hindu activists in the district. Out of fear the BJP leaders compromised with Jagadish Adhikari and changed his mind.”
When asked whether she would take action, Pratibha said, “These are anti-social elements in the society. These people are spoiling the peace of mind of the people through the social media and the BJP leaders are encouraging them to post derogatory comments. When Satyajit Suratkal was denied ticket, the same boys who were posting comments against me, they had also recorded their voice and said what I had said in Karkala since they realized that the BJP leaders were using the Billawa youth for their benefit.”
Former Mayors Jacintha Alfred, Gulzar Banu, Nagaveni and others were also present.
