BJP Triumphant in 7 Constituencies in DK
Mangaluru: BJP candidates Vedavyas Kamath, Harish Punja, Dr Bharat Shetty, Umanath Kotian, Sanjeev Matandoor, Angara and Rajesh Naik have won the Assembly elections in Dakshina Kannada district.
Congress candidate from Ullal Constituency U T Khader won with a margin of 20,080 votes against BJP candidate Santhosh Kumar Rai Boliyar.
All other Congress candidates, Ramanath Rai, J R Lobo, Abhaychandra Jain, Shakuntala Shetty, Vasanth Bangera, Dr B Raghu and Moideen Bava lost the elections.
People were very tired of communal politics by Congress leaders and their minority vote banks. The condescending attitude towards anything ‘Hindu’ was spinning out of control. Remember, the condescending lecturing on Deepavali crackers, air and noise pollution by certain folks in media? Hope this is a good lesson and they all learn some humility going forward.
