BJP will win all 15 seats in upcoming by-elections – DCM Dr Ashwath Narayan
Udupi: The State deputy chief minister Dr Ashwath Narayan exuded confidence that the BJP will win all 15 seats in the upcoming by-elections. He was speaking to media persons in Udupi on October 25.
The Congress and JD(S) have lost their base in Karnataka, both parties are involved in inner conflicts and dividing people in the name of religion. The people are fed up with both parties, they have also failed to work as opposition parties in the state.
Commenting over the statement of Sharath Bachegowda, son of MP Bachegowda on celebrating the Tipu Jayanti in Hoskote, Ashwath Narayan said, “The BJP and the state government’s stand is clear. We are not celebrating Tipu Jayanti at any cost, those who are not in our party will celebrate Tipu Jayanti”, he said.
The party high command will decide in giving BJP tickets for the by-polls. It is our responsibility to give tickets to them because as they have helped to pull down the Kumaraswamy led coalition government. Presently the matter is in the court and it is not the right time to speak about that, he said.
Commenting over the release of former minister D K Shivakumar Ashwath Narayan said, “There is no need to give more importance in Shivakumar’s release. When he was in power he failed to save the government. How then will he help to win By-polls? Society needs a corruption-free administration and our government is doing the same”.
