BJP youth leader Dr Bharat files One Crore Defamation against HDK
Mangaluru: “On January 3, Deepak was murdered in Katipalla, since then the Congress and JDS leaders have been targetting the BJP leaders. Without political maturity, some leaders are involved in giving immature statements to the media. Being in a responsible position JD(S) state president HD Kumaraswamy has given an immature statement in the Deepak Rao Murder case targeting the BJP leader. In this connection I have filed a Rs one crore defamation case against H D Kumaraswamy in the Mangaluru Court”, said the President of BJP Mangaluru North Dr Bharat Shetty in a press meet held at the BJP office here on January 9.
Addressing the mediapersons Dr Bharat Shetty said, “When Deepak was murdered, the MLA of Mangaluru North constituency had also alleged the involvement of BJP. When Deepak and Basheer were murdered the Chief minister visited their houses which is a political gimmick. But when the CM was in Mangaluru for the convention and Sharat Madival succumbed to injuries, he never visited the hospital, instead, the police and the DC were pressurized to delay in announcing the death of Sharat Madival. In every murder case, the BJP is pressurizing the government to investigate the cases thoroughly and punish the culprits.”
Dr Bharat further said, “By sitting in Mysuru without understanding the situation H D Kumaraswamy has given an immature statement. He is trying to divert the investigation by giving such statements.”
When asked that earlier BJP has filed defamation cases and later withdrawn them, will this case too be the same? Dr Bharat said, “We will not take withdraw the defamation case because H D Kumaraswamy had directly pointed that BJP was involved. We should always think and comment on any murder cases.”
Ashok Krishnapur, Vikas Puttur and Sudhakar Adyar were also present.
