BJP Yuva Morcha GS Nandan Mallya Interacts with PM Modi
Mangaluru: The General Secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha Nandan Mallya interacted online with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 7.
Nandan Mallya thanked PM Modi for visiting Mangaluru and addressing the huge gathering at the Nehru Maidan which has strengthened the morale of the party workers.
During the interaction Nandan Mallya asked Modi “How are the youth demographic dividend and what steps have you taken to ensure better education opportunities for the youth?
Responding to the question Modi said, “To involve the youth in nation building, we will give priority to improve the quality of education and increase the opportunities to the youth. The Ministry of Human resources have started the Swayam Gyan portal. To provide opportunities in technology, we had taken meausres to start 6 IITs in the central budget in the year 2014-15 and 2015-16. In this year budget under the PMRF scheme 1000 engineering students will be given fellowship.”
PM Modi also said, “To encourage the students we have started Start up India scheme so that youth can get employment or be self employed. The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) including Self-Employment and Talent Utilization (SETU) is Government of India’s endeavour to promote the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. Its objective is to serve as a platform for promotion of world-class Innovation Hubs, Grand Challenges, Start-up businesses and other self-employment activities, particularly in technology driven areas. Atal Tinkering Labs are dedicated work spaces where students (Class 6th to Class 12th) learn innovative skills and develop ideas that will go on to transform India.”
