Board mentioning Karavali Bypass Flyover as ‘Sri Vishwesha Theertha Flyover’ appeared in Udupi
Udupi: After a banner of ‘Veer Savarkar flyover’ appeared on the Pumpwell flyover and a banner of ‘Rani Abbakka flyover’ banner on the Thokkottu flyover, the flyover row as now shifted to Udupi district too.
A similar hoarding to name the ‘Karavali Bypass Flyover’, as ‘Sri Vishwesha Theertha Flyover’ was erected on the Karavali Bypass Flyover on Saturday, June 6.
The Hoarding was fixed on the divider mentioning ‘Sri Vishwesha Theertha Flyover’ in Kannada and PVT flyover in English. Just days after the controversy over naming the flyover in Bengaluru after Veer Savarkar. Similar posters had appeared in Pumpwell and Thokkottu flyovers in Dakshina Kannada. However, the Hoarding made an appearance once again in Udupi on Saturday, June 6.
It is suspected that the right-wing outfits may have fixed the Hoarding.
