Bobby Brown pays tribute to Bobbi Kristina
Los Angeles, Sep 18 (IANS) Singer Bobby Brown posted a tribute to his late daughter Bobbi Kristina after Nick Gordon verdict.
Brown posted a touching tribute to Bobbi Kristina via Instagram on September 16, just hours after Gordon was found “legally responsible” for his late daughter’s death.
“#Babygirl #daddyalwaysgotyourback #justiceforbobbikristina,” the 47-year-old singer captioned a collage artwork of the father-daughter pair. In it, the father can be seen toting his daughter as a toddler and smiling with her as a teenager.
On September 16, Bobbi Kristina’s former boyfriend Gordon was found legally responsible in her death after he failed to appear in court for a hearing in the wrongful death lawsuit brought against him, Atlanta’s Fulton county court confirmed to usmagazine.com.
Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia home in January 2015 in circumstances reminiscent of her mother Whitney Houston’s 2012 death. She died six months later, after being taken off life-support following a medically induced coma. She was 22.
Bobbi Kristina’s estate filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit against Gordon one month later.
“A jury will determine the amount of damages to be awarded to Brown’s conservator,” the statement reads.
Brown, who has spoken out before about wanting to uncover the truth about Bobbi Kristina’s 2015 death, said in a statement that he is “pleased with the outcome of today’s court proceedings.”
“All I ever wanted was answers relating to who and what caused my daughter’s death,” he said in the statement.
“Today’s judgment tells me it was Nick Gordon. Now I need to process all the emotions I have and lean on God to get me and my family through this.”
