Boje Gowda’s Win in MLC Election is Victory of Teachers – Sushil Noronha
Mangaluru: The JD(S) MLC candidate, S L Boje Gowda, won the South-West Teachers’ constituency election against BJP candidate Capt Ganesh Karnik.
Speaking to mangalorean.com, JD(S) Spokesperson Sushil Noronha said, “In the district, more than 7000 teachers had registered for the Teacher’s constituency. Teachers have cast their votes in large numbers. When our candidate Boje Gowda met the teachers during the campaign, they shared their problems with him. The present MLC who has represented the teachers’ constituency for a decade did not solve their problems. We had assured the teachers of solving their problems if our candidate would be elected and today, this victory is the victory of the teachers.”
Sushil Noronha also said, “In the coming days, our newly elected candidate Boje Gowda will surely listen to the grievances of the teachers and find solutions. I would like to thank all the teachers for their support. The hard work of the party workers and the inspiration from Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has borne positive results.”
