Bondel Church to Celebrate St Lawrence Feast on August 10, Novenas begin from Aug 1
Mangaluru: “Nine-day Novenas will be held to mark the Annual Celebrations of the patron Saint of Bondel Church, St Lawrence. The Novena’s will start from August 1 to 9. During these days Mass and Novena’s will be held at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm. After the 11:00 am Mass and Novena, lunch will be served to all the devotees”, said the parish Preist of St Lawrence Church, Bondel Fr Andrew D’Souza in a press meet held at the Church premises here on July 28.
Addressing the mediapersons Fr Andrew said, “On July 31, there will be a procession, “Hore Kanike” from Mount Carmel School Mary Hill which will culminate at the Church premises. The Concluding ceremony of the Nine-day Novenas will be held on August 9, St Aloysius College Rector Fr Dionysius Vas Sj will celebrate the Novena Mass at 6:00 pm”.
Fr Andrew further said, “On August 10, the St Lawrence feast will be celebrated. At 10:00 am. Bishop of Mangaluru Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza will celebrate the festive mass. District Minister In-charge Ramanath Rai, Mayor Kavitha Sanil and other dignitaries will be present.”
A brochure of the St Lawrence Feast was released by Fr Andrew D’Souza on the occasion.
The Celebration Committee Heads, Henbert Pinto, Francis Veigas, Rudolph Pinto, Stany Alvares and Elias Fernandes were also present.
