Brahmavar Police Nab Inter-district Robber in Mangaluru
Udupi: The Brahmavar Police arrested an accused in a house robbery case at the Jail Road in Mangaluru on Wednesday, August 21.
The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Ali alias Suresh (45), a resident of Kalavaru, Mangaluru.
According to the press note issued by the SP office, Nataraj Hamzar a resident of Heggunje on August 3 had complained that some persons had gained entry into his house and made away with cash and gold ornaments.
Under the direction of SP Nisha James, Additional SP Kumarchandra and DySP T Jaishanker the Brahmavar Police team led by CPI Shrikanth and PSI Raghavendra arrested the accused at the Jail Road in Mangaluru.
The Police recovered 38.75 grams gold worth Rs 1.20 lakh, cash Rs 3 lakh, Auto Rickshaw worth Rs 25000 and an Omni car worth Rs 1 lakh from the accused. The total property recovered is estimated to be worth Rs 5.45 lakhs.
ASI Narayana, Staff Venkatramana Devadiga, Praveen Shettigar, Raghavendra Karkada, Ganesh Devadiga, Dilip Kumar, Harish Prasad, Pradeep Nayak, Ganesh, Vikram, Vasudeva Poojary, Shekar and Annappa took part in the arrest operation.
