Broderick to star in ‘Katrina’
Los Angeles, Feb 28 (IANS) Actor Matthew Broderick has been cast in “Katrina: American Crime Story” – the second instalment of the universally acclaimed and award-winning limited series “American Crime Story”.
Broderick, a two-time Tony Award winner, will portray Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Director Michael D. Brown, who was in charge of the federal disaster response to Hurricane Katrina, read a statement from Star World Premiere HD channel, which will air the show in India.
The series comes from names like Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson.
The first instalment “The People vs O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” was the most critically acclaimed programme of 2016 and was nominated for 22 Emmy Awards and won nine, including Outstanding Limited Series.
The series also won two Golden Globe Awards, including Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made For Television; four Critics’ Choice Awards, including Best Movie Made for Television or Limited Series.
