Udupi: Karnataka BJP president B S Yeddyurappa is yet to make a decision on contesting from North Karnataka instead of Shikaripura in the 2018 assembly polls said Shobha Karandlaje MP Udupi Chikkamagaluru.

She was speaking with the media persons in Udupi on Monday, September 18. She said that no decision has been taken about the assembly constituency from which B S Yeddyurappa will contest. He is not interested to leave Shivamogga but the party’s central leadership has suggested him to contest from North Karnataka. Our party national leadership has conveyed its desire to field him from northern Karnataka. He will think about it and take a decision. We are confident that, from wherever he contests he will win by a huge margin, she added.

When asked about Chief Minister Siddaramaiah contesting the 2018 Assembly polls from a constituency in North Karnataka Shobha replied that the CM has already lost the Varuna Constituency and now he is searching for another safe constituency. The people of Karnataka have lost faith in Siddaramaiah, he will lose in the coming assembly elections, she said.
