BSY’s Visit to Dalit house, political drama to confuse voters – Dr G Parameshwar

Udupi: “The consumption of food in the houses of the Dalit community is just a political drama by B S Yeddyurappa to confuse the voters”, said the former Home Minister and KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar. He was speaking to the media persons after visiting Pejawar Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji at the Sri Krishna Math here on July 8.

Addressing the mediapersons, Dr G Parameshwar said, “When BJP was in power, they even failed to address the issues of the Dalit community. As the elections are nearing in the state, the  BJP has come up with a political drama to confuse the voters”.

Dr Parameshwar further said, “The police department has been effectively functioning in the State. The Kalladka incident where communal tensions are prevailing is the direct attempt of BJP and the Sangh Parivar to polarise the votes.”

When questioned about the reshuffling of the cabinet, Dr Parameshwar said, “It is left to the Chief Minister and the party high command. MLA Dr Sudhakar has been pacified by the Congress leaders and he will not resign, things are now settled”.

When asked on assessing the performance of the MLA’s Dr Parameshwar said that a survey and assessment will be held to assess the performance of the MLA’s. The assessment will not have any impact on the allotment of tickets.

We support the Iftar celebrations held by the Pejawar Swamiji, he has given a message of peace and solidarity and it is the need of the hour, he added.

District Minister In-charge Pramod Madhwaraj, MLA Kaup Vinay Kumar Sorake, Congress Leader Harish Kini, Vishwas Ameen, Meenakshi Madhava Bannanje, Janardhan Bhandarkar and others were present.
