Budding Prodigy Singer Amoghavarsha Bhat
Amoghavarsha Bhat Tenkabail, son of Dubai based software professionals Prasanna T N and Smitha born on 29th October 2007. A Grade 4 student of Delhi Private School, Dubai is an upcoming young singer.
Amoghavarsha loves to sing in various genres of music, he started learning Carnatic Classical Music at the age of 5, initiated by his mother. He is currently training under Smt. Divya Shankari of Mangalore. Amogha is also learning to play Mrudanga and Guitar.
As a young kid, Amogha’ s first stage performance on Keyboard was in the year 2013 at JSS School Carnival. His subsequent stage performances in the Talent events of his school, Amogha got to perform in several stage shows of UAE, including Sharjah Karnataka Sangha Events, ‘Global Village 2017’, ‘Ocean Kids Extravaganza 2017’ event, Kannada event of ‘Dubai Kannadigaru’, ‘2nd Kannada Sahitya Sammelana’ conducted by Dwani Prathistana, Basava Jayanti celebrations, ‘KADAM’ event of Devadiga Sangha, 20th Anniversary Event of UAE Havyaka Sangha etc.
He has received ‘Emerging Talent’ recognition in the ‘Amazing Stars 2015 – Recognizing Child Prodigies in UAE’ search event held by BIG IDEA Group of UAE. Amogha has won the second runner-up position in the ‘UAE level Kannada Film Song competition’ held by Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah in November 2016. His rendering of English songs earned him semifinalist positions in the ‘WAFI Superstars 2017’ and ‘KIDS HQ Superstar’ contests.
Amogha’s interview was aired on the popular UAE Radio Channel, Radio Spice 105.4 FM and he also got his voiced songs aired on ‘Haadu Santhoshakke’ and ‘Gaata Rahe Mera Dil’ segments in the U.S. Radio Channel 1170AM.
Amogha has also given Carnatic Classical music concerts at Puttur and Pavanje Temple of Mangalore in 2017 July & August.
In 2015, he has won the 2nd place in the Hindi Light Music competition at the Red Interschool Youth Fest. Amogha was a team member of the prize-winning Cadence-Choral recitation team of his school at the Inter Junior school fest ‘Chrysalis’. In his school events too, he has won ‘TMS Idol’, ‘Song Bird’ Awards on various occasions as a youngest talented musician. Amogha has also received ‘Golden Star’ award at his school for achieving high grades.
Voice of UAE:
Currently, Amoghavarsha is preparing for the finals of the “Voice of UAE, 2017” organized by SKS Events of Dubai. Around 200+ kids from all over UAE were initially auditioned and after the semi-finals, Amogha made it to the top 20 finalists. Amogha would be performing in front of the Bollywood Singing legend Smt. Kavita Krishnamurthy at the Grand Finale on the 1st of Dec, 2017 at Rashid Auditorium, Dubai. Renowned Dubai based singer Mitun De Sarkar would be also be judging the finals.
During the Final Rounds of Voice of UAE Event the audience at Rashid Auditorium, Dubai has a choice to Vote for contestants of 2017 finalists.Amogha deserves the support of Music Lovers of UAE in the form of the presence and votes at the Auditorium during the final round.
