Bullets cannot be the answer for Difference in Opinion – Deepak Jain
Udupi: An expression should be answered with an expression and not with bullets said Senior Journalist Kiran Manjanbail. He was speaking at a protest organised by Udupi District Working Journalists Association demanding the arrest of the murderers of noted journalist Gauri Lankesh.
The protest was organised in-front of the War Memorial, Udupi here on September 6.
The murder of noted journalist Gauri Lankesh has put the society into shame. A journalist has been killed for having different opinions and views. Journalists are living in fear in Karnataka. The government should soon arrest the accused related to the murder of noted Journalist Gauri Lankesh.
The murder of noted Journalist Gauri Lankesh has pained us immensely said journalist Deepak Jain. Bullets cannot be the answer for difference in opinion. The police should nab the accused and justice should be served.
President of Udupi Working Journalists Association Jayaker Suvarna, Secretary Ganesh Prasad Pandelu, Tresuer Rajesh SHetty, Sports Secretary Nazir Polya, Senior Journalists B.B Shettigar, Ganesh Amin, Sashidhar Masthibailu, Ganesh Prabhu, Subhashchandra Wagle and others were present.
