Burglars’ break into Furniture Shop, Decamp with Cash and Valuables
Udupi: Burglars who broke into a furniture exhibition cum sale shop near Udupi Court and decamped with over Rs 1 lakh and other valuables during the wee hours of September 16.
The Manager of the shop Metab said that at 5:20 am he had gone to the Mosque for prayer, while he returned to the shop he noticed that Rupees 1 lakh, mobile phones, bag, ladies watch and a 20 gram gold chain was stolen. Other workers were sleeping in the shop while the theft was reported but they were not aware of the incident.
A complaint has been lodged in the Udupi Town Police Station and the investigation is on.
