Burglars Decamp with Gold and Silver Ornaments worth Rs 12 Lakh from Byndoor Temple
Byndoor: Burglars broke into the Laxmi Venkataramana Temple at Uppunda near Byndoor and decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 12.72 lakhs on Friday, April 6.
The incident came to light on Friday morning when the Temple priest opened the door of the Temple for Puja. Burglars had broken the door of the Garbhagudi and taken away a silver idol, gold and silver ornaments from the Temple.
The canine squad and fingerprint experts visited the spot for investigations. Additional SP Kumarchandra, Byndoor CPI Paramesh Gunaga, PSI Thimmesh B N also visited the spot and collected necessary information.
A case had been registered in the Byndoor Police Station and investigation is on.
