By-elections reflect that we are ahead in the Race – Oscar Fernandes
Udupi: The victory in by-elections reflect that we are ahead in the race and CM Siddaramaiah leading in the 2018 assembly polls, Congress leadership will take a decision said Rajya Sabha MP Oscar Fernandes. He was speaking to media persons during his visit to Hotel Kediyoor to release a book titled ‘Gulf Kannadiga BG Mohandas’ here on April 15.
The JD(S) had not fielded its candidate in the by-elections which is also a factor which has led to our victory. While asked Fernandes on the coalition with JD(S) in the 2018 assembly polls, he said that the party leadership will take an appropriate decision, while he was not the one who takes the decision on the alliance, party president, and party vice-president will take the necessary decision.
While asked Oscar on singing the Tulu song in the parliament, he said that his fellow in the parliament asked him to speak in Tulu, while he decided to sing in Tulu as the discussion on including Tulu in the 8th schedule was on. He also said that Tulu associations have strengthened their movement and the movement will be further strengthened.
