Counting is underway for three Lok Sabha seats- Shivamogga, Ballari and Mandya- and two assembly constituencies- Jamkhandi and Ramanagara- in Karnataka. The results are being seen as a prestigious popularity test for the ruling Congress-JDS coalition. Stay with TOI for all the live updates.
Mandya Lok Sabha seat: JDS candidate LR Shivaramegowda broke the record of cine actor and politician MH Ambarish who had won Mandya Lok Sabha poll with a margin of 1,24,438 votes in 2004. Now he has a lead of 2.25 lakh votes.
Mandya Lok Sabha seat: JDS is now set to win with a massive lead. It now has a lead of 2,25,827 votes over BJP. JDS has polled 3,74,355 votes while BJP got 1,48,528 votes.
Shivamogga Lok Sabha seat: After completion of sixth round of counting, BJP has polled 1,92,096 while JDS has polled 1,73,755.
Ramanagaram assembly seat: JD(S) candidate Anitha Kumaraswamy, wife of CM HD Kumaraswamy, is set to win. The counting is over. The returning officer likely to make announcement soon.
Ballari Lok Sabha seat: Congress candidate VS Ugrappa sets a record by crossing 1.5 lakh lead against BJP. Ugrappa also breaks the record set by Sonia Gandhi and Sriramulu in previous LS elections.
Shivamogga Lok Sabha seat: After completion of sixth round of counting, BJP has polled 1,92,096 while JDS has polled 1,73,755.
Mandya Lok Sabha seat: JDS leads with 1,18,330 votes against BJP. JDS has so far polled 1,91,876 votes while BJP got 71,050 votes after Round 6
Shivamogga Lok Sabha seat: JDU candidate Mahima Patel, who is son of former CM JH Patel, has polled 2,070 after fourth round of counting. It is less than NOTA. Independent candidate Shashikumar has polled 4,210.
Jamkhandi Assembly seat: After 5th round, Congress candidate Anand S Nyamagouda secured 35,218 votes, BJP candidate Srikant Kulkarni secured 22,447 votes.
Mandya Lok Sabha seat: JDS extends lead by 74,055 votes over BJP. JDS has polled 1,19,211 votes while BJP got 45,156 votes.
Shivamogga Lok Sabha seat: BJP is leading by 9,082 votes against JDS.
Mandya Lok Sabha seat: JDS crosses 1 lakh-vote-mark. It has now a lead of 66,079 votes against BJP.
Ramanagaram assembly seat: JDS now has a massive lead of 50,000 against BJP.

Mandya Lok Sabha seat: JDS has taken a lead of 4,570 votes after first round of counting. In the first round, JDS got 7,018 votes and BJP 711 votes.
Congress got 5,490 votes while BJP got 3,764 votes in 1st round of counting at Jamkhandi assembly seat.
