Calling All Job Seekers for the 2nd ‘Padua Job Fair 2018’ on 7 April 2018 from 9 am-5 pm at the Padua College Premises, hosted by Padua College of Commerce and Management-Mangaluru, in association with Padua College Alumni Association and JCI Mangalore -Lalbagh Chapter. Over 60 Companies will participate in this mega job fair.
Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Fr Alwin Serrao- Principal of Padua College of Commerce and Management-Mangaluru said, “Padua College of Commerce and Management, in association with Padua College Alumni Association (PCAA) and JCI Mangalore -Lalbagh is organizing the annual “Padua Job Fair – 2018” on Saturday 7th April 2018 at Padua College premises from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. The purpose of this event is to connect the various companies or employers with potential employees, especially the outgoing students. We would also like to present our participants to the many employment opportunities available to them, both locally and nationally.”
He further said, “Primarily our aim is to provide an opportunity for our present and past students along with the unemployed youth to get a job. So far nearly 60 companies situated in and around Mangaluru and some companies from Bengaluru have registered. Arrangements are made for the companies, for space, furniture, displays, signage, food, stay and other things. Companies those who come at the last moment may also be accommodated. Last year number of candidates who registered was 1242 out of whom 362 were shortlisted and 113 were employed.”
Also speaking at the press meet, Ms Soujanya Hegde-President of JCI Mangalore-Lalbagh said, “Candidates can also apply on the spot. The eligibility for the registration is SSLC, PUC, ITI, Diploma, Management and Professional courses. There is no registration fee. The candidates should bring the copies of their resume, marks cards, experience certificates and other related documents, when they appear for the interview”.
Roshan Santhumayor- Vice Principal/Job Fair Convenor; Deenath D’Sa- Job Fair Coordinator and Placement officer; and Alex Stevert-President of PCAA were also present during the press meet.
