Calling Alumni of St Aloysius Institution for the ‘SACAA Reunion 2020’-Annual Dinner Meet on 12 Jan
Once an Aloysian, Always an Aloysian! Calling All Alumnus for the Revelry Time at St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA) Reunion 2020- The annual dinner Meet on 12 January 2020 to be held at Ladies Club, St Aloysius College Road/LHH Road, Mangaluru from 7 pm onwards. It is a time to look back at the wonderful time spent in this institution and cherish all the treasured memories of School-College days.
Mangaluru: “Once an Aloysian, Always an Aloysian!”- that’s right. And 12th January Every Year, the old “boys” of St Aloysius College- Mangaluru converge on their Alma Mater premises to join in the ‘St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA) Reunion bash. And this year too nearly 600-700 SAC Alumni’s who in their 80’s, 70’s, 60’s ,50’s, 40’s and 30’s, along with boys and girls, joined by a bevy of Jesuit priests, will once again bring back memories of their good old college days for a nostalgic and fulfilled evening full of music, entertainment and games accompanied by friendship, fellowship and sumptuous dinner. Since last year there has been a change in the venue- the fun and frolic evening will be held at the Ladies Club, located a few meters away from the College on St Aloysius College Road/LHH Road, Mangaluru from 7 pm onward.
This Alumnae Reunion bash will be a chance to brag about what the alumnus may or may not of accomplished. For some there is a fear of what has not been accomplished. And for some, they will be just interested to know how far people have come. There is also a chance to look at the humorous side of things- Spending time looking at the fashion and the hair in old photos, and also will be a chance to look back at some of the stupid things that were done while being classmates or college mates. January 12 every year-it is always a special day for all the old students of St Aloysius College. January 12, 2020 – will be a nostalgic journey down the memory lane for the college buddies to come together for the Reunion Bash. The memoirs of yester years will be once again rejuvenated as the alumnus will share their memories of those olden, youthful, cheerful days full of happiness and joy.
To enliven the atmosphere there will not only be live music by “Rhythm Mates”- comprising of young musicians of St Aloysius College, with professional compering by Aloysian Ms Lavita Menezes, but also few spot games, floor dance, games for the Jesuit priests, and lots of friendship cum fellowship, together with a sumptuous spread of food that will add spice to the occasion. At the meeting held on Tuesday, 7 January 2020 to finalize the preparation for the Big Bash, President of SACAA Santhosh Kumar Kadri briefed about the event. It looks like the committee members have worked tirelessly during the past few months in reaching out as many past SAC students to attend the function, and they are confident this year the SACAA Reunion bash will attract a huge crowd. The executive committee members present during the meeting were – Capt Patrick Pais- Secretary and Convener; Stephen Pinto- Vice President; Allan Colaco- Joint Secretary; Felix F D’silva- Treasurer; along with committee members-Archibald Menezes, Naveen Mascarenhas, Michael D’souza, Dr Richard Gonsalves, among others.
This year the SACAA Reunion falls on a weekend, and that too on a Sunday, chances are that a lot more of Aloysian revelers will converge at Ladies Club for some fun and frolic, added with lots of goodies. So calling all alumnus of St Aloysius School/College for this SACAA Reunion 2020, where it will be a time to look back at the wonderful time spent in this Institution and cherish all the treasured memories of School/College days!
