Cancel Tender or Party May Ask CM to Step Down – Janardhan Poojary

Mangaluru: Janardhan Poojary held a press meet at the district Congress Office here, on April 13.

Addressing the mediapersons, Poojary said, “Chief Minister’s son got tenders to establish a lab and diagnostic center at the government-run Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru. The media has slammed this move as it is against the code of conduct which forbids the minister or his family to take part in the government tender process. The CM should answer to the media, how else will he ask the media to be quiet?” he asked.

He said, “Already the party has suffered enough over the issue of chemistry question papers and now with this new development is the CM trying to sacrifice the party? Though you have worked for the benefit of the people, such actions actually undermine your good work.”

Poojary further said, “Doesn’t your son have the common sense that his actions will ruin the reputation of his father. Is your son more important than the party? More important than the sacrifices of the party workers? The party workers have made you the Chief Minister, isn’t your family satisfied with that? Ask your son to take up some other business or build a separate hospital.”

He said that the media will not forgive anyone. “The Chief Minister should apologise in his son’s name. I join my hands and request the CM to cancel the tender else the Congress party may ask the CM to step down. Consider this as a warning bell. Dr Girish who awarded the tender had the duty to check the background of the person. He cannot say that he was caught unaware by the Chief Minister’s son. Tomorrow a terrorist can file applications for tender and this doctor will award him the tender without any scrutiny. Anyhow, the Chief Minister should first cancel the tender and save his reputation.”

Poojary did not fail to take a jibe at Yeddyurappa. He said, “Yeddyurappa has been slammed with a summons. Does he have no ethics that he took up the presidentship of the state BJP? He dreams of becoming a CM some day. He should learn that the people of the state are not dumb.”

You know that Party corruption has reached a record low when your own party members are demanding CM to apologize or step down!! Many writers on this forum are very critical of Modiji, BJP and RSS. However, the same individuals are very silent on Congress corruption. And, you NEVER see a single post from those individuals critical of ‘peaceful’ religion even though those groups go and slaughter nuns and christian minorities in middle east. Oh well, intellectual honesty is hard to find!!

Duplicate Pai
Your comments made me to write this. BJP is a party run by RSS which doesn’t have internal democracy & if you are speaking about central govt it is 2 man show instead of cabionet ministers where as in Congress it is group decision & there is room for criticism. So better learn the difference before commenting.

Nicholas, another genius from ‘Beef Club’ claims that Congress party has ‘democracy’ while BJP doesn’t. LOL LOL Is it why Congress is always headed by fake ‘gandhi’s from Nehru family? There is no ‘dynasty’ in BJP. Do me a favor – Go back and read some news to educate yourself. Stop embarrassing yourself.

All political parties, including Congress and B.J.P., are the same.

If my memory serves me right, Karnataka had just two politicians who were good. One was S. Nijalingappa and another was P. Hegde. Karnataka was called Mysore those days.

The present Chief Minister of Karnataka, who is from the Congress Party, appears to be corrupt and arrogant. Power has gone to his head.

There is a beautiful saying from an illustrious personality, considered to be America’s best President, namely Abraham Lincoln, whom I admire very much for unifying all the States of America (which, today, is the world’s fourth largest landmass) and freeing slaves and giving that country a sense of direction during its times of trial and tribulation. The saying is something like this: You can fool all people, some of the time, You can fool some people, all the time, But you cannot fool all the people, all the time. r In all fairness to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who lives luxury,… Read more »
