Cancer-Inflicted Girl Dies After Father Refuses To Sell House For Treatment
Vijayawada: In a heart-wrenching incident, a cancer inflicted girl died after battling for life and failing to make her father to provide for treatment in Vijayawada on Sunday.
13-year-old Saisri and her mother Sumasri were abandoned by her father one Madamshetty Siva Kumar a few years back. After the girl was diagnosed with cancer, the single mother spent all the money for her treatment and for further treatment in Bengaluru she wanted to sell off her house which was registered on the name of the girl by Siva Kumar when they lived together.
However, as the girl and her mother were in the helpless situation, Siva Kumar, a rowdy sheeter and having the political patronage of the local MLA , occupied the house and threw both of them out.
Struggling with cancer, the girl had requested her father to allow them to sell off the house so that she can get better treatment but in vain.
Finally, Saisri sent a video to her father saying, “Please daddy, help me survive. I want to live, I want to go to school again, I want to play with my friends. Kindly have mercy on me,” on WhatsApp on Saturday for which too the man did not respond. As her condition deteriorated beyond repair, the girl was declared dead on Sunday afternoon.
