Car Involved in Hit & Run Case Traced to HJV & BJP Leader Arun K Putthila of Puttur
Mangaluru: Recalling the hit-and-run incident that took place on 9 September 2019,at Nettana-Bilinele Village in Kadaba Taluk, where a driver of a van had fled the scene after the accident, which injured a 48-year-old lady, Sumathi, but succumbed to her injuries in the hospital- now nearly six months later, through CCTV footage the police have traced the Innova car Reg No KA 21 P 6435 to Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) leader, also BJP leader from Puttur Vidhan Sabha constituency Arun Kumar Putthila.
As per Arun Putthila who has said to the police that his driver was driving the car, therefore, the Puttur rural police have now arrested Arun’s car driver, Prashanth. Puttur rural police circle inspector and his team are investigating the case.
