Case against UAE returned Covid-19 Positive Individual for Violating Home Quarantine
Udupi: The district administration has registered a case against a 35-year-old COVID-19 positive man for violating the home quarantine conditions.
Speaking to mediapersons, Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha said, “A 35-year-old man who had returned to India from UAE on March 17 was instructed by officials to remain under home quarantine for 14 days. Though he was aware of the government regulations, he went around and mingled with the public. Since he violated the rules and regulations of the Health and Family Welfare Department, we have registered a case against him.”
With two more persons testing positive for the coronavirus in the district on Sunday, the total positive cases have risen to 3. The 35-year-old man had returned from Dubai recently and was initially admitted to a hospital in Karkala on March 27. While another 29-year-old man, who had visited Thiruvananthapuram on March 17, was admitted to a hospital in Udupi on March 26.
