Case filed Against MLA Sunil Kumar in Bantwal Town Police Station
Mangaluru: A case has been filed against the BJP MLA of Karkala Constituency Sunil Kumar for his inciting speech in B C Road, in the Bantwal police station here on January 23.
A member of the Youth Congress Bantwal Unit filed a criminal case against MLA Sunil Kumar for his inciting speech comparing the forthcoming elections to be between Allah and Lord Rama. In his speech in B C Road, Sunil Kumar has targetted Ramanath Rai and said that the forthcoming elections in the Bantwal Constituency will be between Allah and Rama.
In his speech Sunil Kumar said, “Ramanath Rai says that he has won the elections six times because of Allah. The forthcoming elections are not between the BJP candidate and Ramanath Rai but between Allah and Rama, the people of this constituency should think whether they want Allah to win or Rama? I request the people to think whether they will elect the person who says that he won 6 times because of Allah or the person who loves Rama. The people of Bantwal should think well over it. It is not the question of only the Bantwal Constituency but the prestige of this district” .
The Bantwal police have registered a case under section 153(A) and 505(2) IPC.
