Case Filed Against MP Nalin for Abusing Cop on Duty

Mangaluru: A case has been registered against MP Nalin Kumar Kateel here on September 8 for abusing Kadri police Inspector on September 7 while on duty at the Goraksha hall Kadri.

On September 7, during the Mangaluru Chalo rally, BJP leaders along with the party workers were arrested by the Police and taken to various places. Some of them including MP Nalin were taken to the Goraksha hall Kadri. MP Nalin being impatient wanted to leave the place, while Police Inspector Maruti was preparing the necessary papers to complete the release procedure, MP Nalin got angry and started to bang the table and threaten PI Maruti. At that time PI Maruti received a phone call from the ACP. MP Nalin demanded Maruti to let him talk to the ACP, But PI Maruti refused to give the MP his mobile. When the PI refused to hand over the phone, MP Nalin got angry and said that he will throw him out.

Inspector Maruti Nayak has filed a complaint in the Kadri police station. A case has been registered against MP Nalin Kumar Kateel under section 353 IPC.
