Cashier Arrested for Destroying Computer Software of MCC Bank Bantwal
Mangaluru: The Bantwal police have arrested the cashier of the Mangalore Co-operative Bank on April 1, for destroying the software containing documents from the computer.
The arrested has been identified as Vijeth Ivan D’Souza, a resident of Bondel, Mangaluru.
According to the police, on March 31, a complaint was received from the General Manager of MCC bank Sunil Ivan Menezes. In the complaint, Ivan had accused that Vijeth who is the cashier of the bank had intentionally destroyed the software settings in the computer so that the bank transactions would be interrupted.
Based on the complaint, the Bantwal police have registered a case under IT act 66 and 406 IPC. On April 1, DySP Ravish, CPI Bantwal Manjayya, PSI Rakshith and team arrested Vijeth and produced him before the court.
