CAT Result 2019 to be Declared on January 6; Check IIM CAT Scores
CAT 2019 result for the exam held on November 24th will be declared on January 6, 2020. IIM Kozhikode will announce the results in online mode. MBA aspirants can check their result at the official website.
CAT exam is a mandatory entrance exam for MBA admission in all the IIMs and top B-schools like FMS, XLRI, MDI, etc. This year, around 2.44 Lakh students appeared in CAT exam. With the help of these results, the students can apply to various MBA colleges, including IIMs. If the candidate reaches the minimum cut-off of the desired college, then they will be shortlisted for the second round.

Go to iimcat.ac.in.
On the homepage, go to the ‘Common Admission Test 2019 (CAT 2019) Result Declaration’.
Log in by entering the user id and password.
The results will be displayed.
IIM cut-off
All the IIMs releases their own cutoff after the release of CAT result. Each IIMs have their own cutoff. The cut-off for CAT 2019 may differ from the previous year’s cut-offs. Candidates may go through the previous year cut-off to get an idea about the cutoff of IIMs this year.

IIM Selection Process
- The respective IIM will release the list of shortlisted candidates for the next level of selection on their websites.
- The shortlisted candidates will receive an interview letter from the respective IIM.
- The criteria of selection may differ across IIMs. Usually, the candidates have to go through a Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
- IIMs also select the candidates through factors like the previous academic performance, relevant work experience, gender, and educational diversity and other similar inputs.
Documents Required for Eligibility Verification
The candidates shortlisted for an interview by an IIM should take these following documents for eligibility verification:
- Mark Sheets and Degree Certificates (attested copies should be submitted)
- Reservation Category Requirements: Attested copies of the original caste/class and disability certificate should be submitted.
- The candidates who are in the final year of graduation should submit an original certificate from the Principal/ Registrar/ Director of the institution, certifying that the candidate has obtained 50% or more (45% in case of ST/ SC/ PwD Category) based on their latest available grades.
- The candidates who will pass all these selection rounds will be given admission, and they will have to submit the original documents of their mark sheets and degree certificates.
CAT scores will be valid only for one year. If the candidates are not able to clear the cut-off through these scores, then they may apply to other MBA institutes through CAT scores.
