Catholic Sabha City Varado Celebrates Bi-Decennial
Catholic Sabha City Varado celebrated Bi-Decennial celebration on 17 Feb at Shakti Nagar Church Hall. Programme was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Austin Peris spiritual director of Catholic Sabha City Varado by pouring water to Saplings. Homage was paid to the 42 martyred Soldiers of Pulvama by lighting candles and with prayers.
Prakash Pinto Bondel, Walter Saldanha Neermargha, Empriem D’souza Angelore, Ivy D’Silva Derebail, Agnes D’souza Kelarai, David Crasta Shaktinagara, Robert D’souza Bajal, Joachim D’souza Vamanjoor were honoured for their selfless service to the community.
Lancy D’cunha was also honoured for being elected for second term to All India Catholic Union. At the end of the programme cultural entertainment programme was organized by different parishes.
Victor Corea City President, Rolphy D’costa Central President, Lancy D’cunha AICU President, Rev. Fr. Austin Peris, Rev. Fr. Jerald D’souza and Several Catholic leaders were present. Johnson D’souza convener proposed Vote of Thanks. Molly Saldanha and Roshan kamath compered the programme.
