Catholic Sabha Udupi Deanery to Organize Musical Evening of Melwyn Peris
Udupi: The Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh of Udupi Deanery will organize a Musical Evening by the renowned Konkani Musician and Singer Melwyn Peris and Group on 5 January 2020 at St. Cecily School Ground, Udupi at 5.30 pm. This information was provided by Ronald Almeida, President of Catholic Sabha, and Udupi Deanery on Tuesday, 31 December while addressing the Press Conference.
Ronald Almeida said that the Musical Evening is being organized to provide financial assistance to those families in the Udupi Deanery which are in need of financial help to meet the expenses to treat terminal illness, to have their own house, to continue higher education and to start their own small scale business. Those families which were selected for such assistance will be handed over the aid on the stage during the programme.
The Musical Evening programme will be attended by Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo, Fr. Valerian Mendonca-Dean of Udupi Deanery, Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves-Spiritual Director of Catholic Sabha, Udupi Deanery, Alwyn Quadros-President of Catholic Sabha, Udupi Diocese, Sr. Vibha-Superior of St. Cecily Convent and many others. On this occasion, Melwyn Peris will be honoured. Though the entry to the Musical Evening is free, donations for the projects sponsored by the Catholic Sabha, Udupi Deanery will be gratefully accepted.
Mrs. Lavina Pereira, Secretary of Catholic Sabha, Udupi Deanery, Mrs. Mary D’Souza, Immediate Past President, Brian Correa, member of the Publicity Committee and Alphonse D’Costa, advisor to the organizing committee were present for the Press Conference.
