Cattle Trafficking – Vehicle, 4 Calves Seized in Kundapur

Kundapur: The Kundapur police managed to rescue 4 calves that were being illegally transported in an Omni car on Monday, January 7.

While the vehicle and calves were seized by the police, those involved in trafficking cattle succeeded to escape.

On January 7, 4 calves were being illegally transported in an Omni Car from Byndoor to Kundapur. The Kundapur PSI Crime Ramesh Pawar and his team who were on duty checking vehicles at the Hemmadi Junction noticed a vehicle and signaled it to stop. But the driver tried to flee without stopping the vehicle.

When the police team chased the vehicle, the occupants in the Omni parked the vehicle at Santhosh Nagar and fled. Four calves being transported illegally were rescued from the vehicle.

A case has been registered in the Kundapur Police Station.
