CAUSE to hold Two-day Promotional Event for a Good Cause
Mangaluru: CAUSE, the Citizen Alliance to Uphold Service and Exchange, led by the students and alumni of St Aloysius College is back with the 2017 chapter, another year of being the change in the city of Mangaluru with a promotional event which will be held on September 2 and 3 at the City Centre and Forum Mall,” said the Coordinator of CAUSE Suhan Alva in a press meet held at the Press Club Urwa here on September 1.
Addressing the mediapersons Suhan said, “To the downtrodden, the forgotten and the penniless, we are the saving grace, we are the last resort, and wholly empowered by students, this noble cause is taking leaps of faith in going forward in changing the nation. This year, for the main event, dancer Disha Madan will grace the occasion. The weekend will witness a hype over numerous dances, live band performances, brownies and cupcakes, and homemade bookmarks by Aloysians to raise funds for this cause.”
Suhan further said, “The proceedings will be used to help the chosen shelters for this year. We have a student who is staying in a hut and pursuing his Engineering studies in Mangaluru. The CAUSE has decided to construct a House for him. On September 2 the promotional event will be held at the City Centre where students will raise funds by selling homemade soaps, saplings, wall hangings, handmade bookmarks, artificial jewelry, chocolates etc. The main event will be held on September 3 at the Forum Mall from 4:00 pm onwards. This is our fourth fundraising event and many people have supported us. This year the CAUSE will start a scholarship for the needy students.”
Mohammed Shawaz, Ishwar Shetty, Shruti Lal and Neethi Hegde were also present.
