CBI court acquits Yeddyurappa in bribery case
Bengaluru, (Agencies): The CBI special court on Wednesday acquitted former Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa in Bellary Mines corruption case , according to media reports.
The court also acquitted Yeddyurappa’s two sons, son-in-law and former BJP minister Krishnaiah Shetty.
RB Dharmagoudar, CBI Court judge, said there was lack of evidence in the case.
“Justice is done. I stand vindicated, ” said Yeddyurappa on his acquittal.

Bengaluru, Oct 26 (IANS) Senior BJP leader B.S. Yeddyurappa was on Wednesday acquitted of charges of accepting bribes in the Bellary mining case, by a CBI special court.
“Justice is done, I stand vindicated,” Yeddyurappa tweeted thanking all his well wishers, friends and supporters “who stood with me in my tough times”.
“Satyameva Jayate.” he said.
Yeddyurappa was indicted for colluding in illegal iron-ore mining in the mineral-rich district of Bellary in August 2011.
