CCB and ENC Police Arrest Drug Peddler, Cocaine worth Rs 1.6 Lakh Seized
Mangaluru: The CCB police and the Economic and Narcotic Crime Police arrested a drug peddler and seized 16 grams of Cocaine worth Rs 1.6 Lakh at Sultan Battery here on June 20.
The arrested has been identified as Mohnish (36) a resident of Sultan Battery.
According to the police, on June 20, after getting information from reliable sources about drugs being peddled into Mangaluru from Mumbai, the CCB police raided the place near Sultan Battery and arrested a man who was selling Cocaine to the public.
The police seized 16 grams of Cocaine worth Rs 1.6 lakh, a digital weighing scale, Honda Activa and 2 mobile phones from his possession all worth Rs 2.81 lakh.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that the Cocaine was purchased in Mumbai and brought to Mangaluru. The search is on for other drug peddlers who are involved in drug peddling.
Under the able guidance of Police commissioner Sandeep Patil, DCP Law and order Hanumantharaya and DCP Crime and Traffic Lakshmi Ganesh the operation was carried out by CCB Inspector Shivaprakash, ENC Police Inspector Ramakrishna CCB PSI Kabbal Raj, Shanker Nayari and team.
