CCB Police Arrest Ganja Peddler, Seize 1.8 kg Ganja
Mangaluru: The CCB police have arrested a ganja peddler here on July 21.
The arrested has been identified as Keshav Sanil (47) from Katipalla.
According to the police, on July 21, Keshav Sanil was peddling Ganja from Kerala to sell it to the public and students in the city. On getting reliable information, the CCB police stopped a red Hyundai car bearing registration number KA 19 MC 1743 at the Talapadi Tollgate. On inspection, they found 1.8 kg of Ganja in the car.
The CCB Police took Keshav Sanil into custody and seized 1.83 kg Ganja, Hyundai Car and a mobile phone all worth Rs 2.85 lakh. The accused had brought Ganja from Kerala to sell in Mangaluru. Keshav was handed over to the Ullal Police for further investigation.
Accused Keshav is involved in various crimes and 15 cases have been registered against him in Mulky (Murder attempt), Suratkal police station (murder case, Arms act and Ganja peddling), Panambur Police station (murder attempt), Udupi and Karkala police stations (Ganja case).
Under the direction of Police commissioner T R Suresh and the able guidance of DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya, DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth the operation was carried out by the CCB inspector Shantharam, PSI Shyam Sundar, Kabbal Raj and team.
