CCB Police Arrest Man for Possessing Banned Drug
Mangaluru: The CCB police have arrested a man for possessing banned drug and trying to sell it to the public in the city on September 27.
The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Shafi (32) from Katipalla Suratkal.
According to the police, on September 27, the CCB police got reliable information that Mohammed Shafi had sold the banned drug to many people in the city. The CCB police got into action and arrested Mohammed Shafi and seized 90 grams of the banned MDMA drug worth Rs 3.15 lakh from his possession.
During interrogation, Mohammed Shafi revealed that he used to bring the banned drug from Mumbai and sell it to the public in the city. The accused has been handed over to the Kankanady Town police station for further investigations along with the seized drug.
Under the guidance of Police commissioner T R Suresh and DCP law and order Uma Prashanth, the operation was carried out by the CCB Inspector Shantharam Kundar, PSI Shyam Sundar and staff.
