CCB Police Arrest three Ganja Peddlers at Bunts Hostel
Mangaluru: The CCB police arrested three Ganja Peddlers while they were selling Ganja to students and the public near Bharath Beedies, Bunts Hostel here on August 3.
The arrested have been identified as Loy Veigas (24) from Konchadi, Derebail; Almeid Karkada (24) from Falnir and Pradeep Prabhu (27) from Kadri Kambla.
According to the police, on August 3, on getting information about three youth on a motorbike selling Ganja near Bharath Beedies, the CCB police got into action and arrested the youth. The police seized 1.2 kg of Ganja, a motorbike and three mobile phones all worth Rs 68,500 from their possession.
The first accused Loy is involved in various crimes and cases of vehicle theft, assault and kidnap have been filed against him in Kavoor, Urva, Barke, Mangaluru North and Mangaluru Rural Police Stations. The arrested have been handed over to the Kadri police station for further investigation.
Under the direction of Police Commissioner T R Suresh, DCP Law and order Shantharaju, DCP Crime and traffic Hanumantharaya and ACP CCRB Valentine, the operation was carried out by CCB inspector Sunil Nayak, Sub-inspector Shyam Sunder and team.
