CCB Police Arrest three persons in Shivaraj murder case
Mangaluru: The CCB Police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of Shivaraj on January 22.
The arrested have been identified as Sunil Poojary (32), Dheeraj (25) and Mallesh alias Madesha (23) all from Tannirbavi.
On January 22, at around 4:30 am, Jayaraj Kotian heard the cry of his brother Shivaraj from the terrace. When Jayaraj ran to the terrace to check, assailants had hacked Shivaraj and fled from the spot. Severely injured Shivaraj was rushed to the hospital but he breathed his last on the way. In this connection, a case was filed in the Panambur police station by Jayaraj Kotian.
Based on the complaint the CCB police got into action and arrested the accused within few hours of the crime. During interrogation, it is revealed that personal enmity led to the murder of Shivaraj. Search is on for the other accused in this case.
The arrested have been handed over to the Panambur police for further investigations.
Under the direction of police commissioner T R Suresh, DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya, DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashant, the operation was carried out by the CCB Inspector Shantharam Kunder, PSI Shyam Sundar, ASI Sashidhdar Shetty, Rama Poojary, Ganesh, Chandrashekhar, Sheenappa, Chandra, Subramanya, Chanadrahasa, Yogish, Rajendra Prasad, Abdul, Jabbar, Mani, Prashanth Shetty, Ashith D’Souza, Tejakumar and Rithesh.
