CCB Police Arrest Two Women House Burglars
Mangaluru: The CCB Police arrested two women house burglars while they were in action during broad daylight in the city here on November 8.
The arrested have been identified as Parvati (29) from Kunjathbail and Jayalaxmi (27) from Kavoor.
According to the police both Parvati and Jayalaxmi were wandering around picking scrap and noting locked houses. Later they used to break into those houses and take away the valuables. After the crime they were pledging the stolen gold ornaments in finance companies and were leading lavish life.
The police arrested both Parvati and Jayalaxmi and seized 91.230 grams gold ornaments worth Rs 2.46 lakh from their possession.
The accused Parvati and her husband are involved in a theft case and a case was registered against them in the South police station. The accused and the seized gold ornaments have been handed over to the Panambur police for further investigation.
Under the direction of police commissioner T R Suresh and under the able guidance of DCP Law and order Hanumantharaya and DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth the operation was carried out by the CCB police Inspector Sunil Naik and team.
