CCB Police Thwart Murder Plot, Arrest four in Mulky
Mangaluru: The CCB Police have arrested four persons while they were planning a murder at Chitrapu, Mulky, here on February 3.
The arrested have been identified as Manoj Kumar (33) from Thokkottu, Prasad alias Pacchu (28) from Mogaveerapattana, Shravan (22) from Mogaveerapattana and Sujith (27) from Thokkottu.
According to the police, Manoj, Prasad, Shravan and Sujith were planning to murder a person at Falnir. On getting reliable information about 9 to 10 persons in a Tata Sumo planning a murder and theft at Falnir, the CCB police got into action and arrested four of them and recovered weapons from their possession.
The CCB Police have seized machetes, knives, 40 gram Ganja, 3 mobile phones and a Tata Sumo car all worth Rs 1,19,000 from their possession. The accused have been handed over to the Mangaluru South Police station for further investigations.
The accused Prasad has 5 cases (2 assault and 3 murder attempts) against him in the Ullal police station and has been branded as a rowdy-sheeter in the Ullal police station. Shravan and Manoj have cases of attempt to murder in the Ullal police station.
The operation was carried out by the CCB police inspector Shantharam and team. The police are searching for the other accused and investigation is on.
