CDC holds ‘Draft National Education Policy” workshop at Mangalore University
Mangaluru: “Educational institutions were compared to just factories, where students or the learners are raw materials to be fed into huge machines and teachers in those institutions are assembly line workers and the finished products becomes marketable products”, opined Dr Sukumar Gowda , the philosopher and Exponent of Education at the inaugural programme of the workshop on Draft New Education Policy 2019, held at Mangalore University by College Development Council(CDC).
Further, he elaborated how colonialism turned to imperialism where regimentation process is the main feature of the education system.
Gowrish Joshi, member of the committee for National Education Policy 2019 shared and elaborated the vision and objectives of the said policy.
Vice-Chancellor, Mangalore University Prof P S Yadapadithaya stressed the need and dissemination of quality paradigms in the proposed policy.
The Director of College Development Council, Dr P L Dharma delivered the keynote address. The programme was coppered by Dr Dhananjay Kumble along with the vote of thanks.
