Celebration of Konkani Manyatha Diwas at St Aloysius College
St. Aloysius (Autonomous) College, Konkani Association celebrated Konkani Manyatha Diwas on 30th August at 3 pm in Eric Mathais Hall.
Mrs Concepta Fernandes, Senior Programme Officer from Bangalore AIR presided over the function and delivered the keynote address. Rev. Fr Vincent Pinto, Finance Officer of St Aloysius College was the president of the function. Mrs. Flora Castelino and Ms. Renita Aranha, Presidents of Konkani Association were on the dais.
During the programme, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions. The association members put up a cultural programme. After the programme, ‘Urba’ – Konkani short film of Rajesh Shet, Sai Creations, Mangaluru was screened.
Ms. Salomi Alvares welcomed the gathering and Ms. Haniya proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Preema compered the programme.
