‘Chaddi Buddies’ Sachin Shetty & Abhishek Shetty finish 13,560 Km ‘Go Himalayas’ Ride
Mangaluru: As a Second part of his famed “GO HIMALAYAS” ride, that first started last year, when he rode solo from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, Sachin Shetty decided to take the next route for his adventurous plan ie. The 3-nation circuit – INDIA – NEPAL – BHUTAN.
Starting on July 27th, 2018 from his hometown at Kaup, his main focus was to explore the cuisine and culture of these three fabulous countries, while also discovering the roads and countryside that connect them all.
On his very own YouTube channel called shutterboxfilms (www.youtube.com/shutterboxfilms), he together with his close ride and co-rider, Abhishek Shetty, kept uploading daily vlogs on that channel. They would share their important updates and the types of culinary delicacies they experienced, together with the cultures they came across while on this beautiful journey.
The total distance covered to and fro is approximately 13,560 kms, that was completed in 37 days. The previous year, in 2017, he had covered 11,200 kms from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. While that was a solo ride, he wanted to share the experience this time with his childhood friend, Abhishek T Shetty and for him, this was his 1st long ride.
This 37-day ride came to a grand finale on the 2nd September, when he approached Mangaluru. All along the way from Bangalore, then Puttur, and then at BC Road, he was met by his fans and friends, plus the different media people, who wanted to talk to him and wish him onwards.
Before 1 pm, he was joined by friends from Puttur who rode together with him. The numbers of his biking friends grew as more and more bikers joined in from BC Road, Sahyadri College, Adyar and then Padil, as they all escorted him to a grand finish at Motogarage, the biker cafe, where his other friends, family and fans where waiting to pounce on him.
A superb welcome, of course for these two intrepid travelers!
