Cheated by Friends, 54-year-old Austin Commits Suicide
Mangaluru: A 54-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Vamanjoor here on January 2.
The deceased has been identified as Austin Simon Noronha (54) from Vamanjoor.
According to sources Austin was facing financial crisis. He had worked in Qatar for 25 years and one year ago he had settled in Mangaluru. Before committing suicide he had posted a note on facebook.
On January 2, at around 1:30 pm Austin committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Vamanjoor. The Mangaluru Rural police reached the spot and lower the body. The body was later sent for post-mortem.
A case has been registered in the Mangaluru Rural Police station and investigation is on.
