Chennai woman falls from 9th floor of hotel

Bengaluru, (DHNS): A 36-year-old woman from Chennai plunged to death from the 9th floor of a hotel building in the city on Monday.

Valliamai plunged down from the terrace of Aloft Hotel in Cessna Business Park, near Kadubeesanahalli. It is the same place where engineer Geethanjali U from Goa, working in ADVA Optical Networking, had plunged to death last week.

Valliamai plunged to death at 1.30 pm. She died on spot from grievous head injuries.
The hotel staff told the police that she had checked in at 10 am on Sunday and had made advance booking for two days. She stayed in room number 911. She was alone on the terrace from 6 pm on Sunday until 8.30 pm on Monday. She had gone to the terrace by the lift and jumped down. A guard informed the hotel staff about her death.

The Marathahalli police found a painting brush, a colour box and some books on the spot. They later informed her husband Veerappan and father Nagappa after checking her phone.
