Chikkamagluru SP Annamalai visits City to assess Bharat Bandh Lati-Charge incident
Udupi: The Chikkamagaluru superintendent of Police K Annamalai Monday evening visited the City to assess the Lati-charge incident during the Bharat Bandh.
According to sources the ADGP law and order had asked Annamalai to assess the Lati-charge incident during the Bharat Bandh and give a report to the senior police officials.
As per the ADGP’s order Annamalai visited the District government hospital and collected the necessary information from the injured persons from both the parties. He later visited the SP office and collected information from police officials. Annamalai collected the Video recordings and Photos of the Lati-charge as well as the protests.
Udupi SP Visits Hospital to Check on the condition of the injured persons
Meanwhile, Udupi Superintendent of Police Laxman B Nimabragi also visited the District Government Hospital and enquired about the health of the injured persons from the BJP and Congress party.
Later speaking to media persons SP Nimbargi said that the police have arrested 10 persons and collected information about those arrested. The police officials had tried their level best to control the situation, but when the situation went out of control order was given to resort to Lathi-charge on both the groups. The Karkala DySP Belliyappa has taken charge to investigate the incident, he said.
