Children of Special School celebrate Deepavali
Mangaluru: Chetana Child Development Centre, Mangalore in association with G.S.B. Mahila Mandal, Mangalore celebrated Deepavali in a gala manner on Friday, 9th November 2018. Chetana Child Development Centre situated on V.T. Road in the city is an institution dedicated to the nurture of special children. It is managed under the auspices of Seva Bharati.
Prabha Pai, President of G.S.B. Mahila Mandal inaugurated the programme with the lighting of the lamp. The children of the school too joined her in lighting the lamp. The children, along with the school staff members and Mahila Mandal members joyfully danced around the lamp singing Bhajans. The children also enjoyed bursting of crackers.
Pooja for Goddess Laxmi Devi was performed on the occasion. Sweets were distributed to all as Prasadam. Nagaraj Bhat, Secretary of Seva Bharathi, the school headmistress Supritha, the school staff and volunteers were present on the occasion.
