Christan Almeida Appointed National Coordinator for NSUI
Udupi: Christan Almeida, who hails from Udupi has been appointed as the coordinator of National Students Union of India (NSUI).
Christan Almeida was appointed by the National President of NSUI Neeraj Kundan with the approval of AICC president Sonia Gandhi.
Christan Almeida’s leadership qualities were exposed when he became the president of ICYM unit Mudarangadi. He also served as the Booth president of the youth congress, Mudarangadi. In the year 2017, he was elected as the District President of NSUI Udupi. During his tenure, he conducted various programmes for the welfare of the students. He was one among the Top 6, who won the Best District President award in the year 2019.
Christan also conducted protests against VTU for the introduction of the exit scheme. He celebrated most of the festivals with the orphans. Christan led the social media campaign for the cancellation of exams during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has also organised several Drug awareness campaigns across the district.
