CII Mangalore Successfully Hosts Integrate 2024: A Platform for Business Connectivity

Mangalore: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Mangalore has successfully hosted the much-anticipated CII Mangalore Integrate 2024, a multifaceted event encompassing an exhibition, buyer-seller meet, and conference at Hotel Avatar. Under the unifying theme “Connecting New Business,” the event served as a dynamic platform for industry leaders, innovators, policymakers, and business professionals to collaborate and explore new opportunities.

The inaugural session featured an esteemed address by Dr. Anandh K, IAS, Chief Executive Officer of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, who emphasized the crucial role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in propelling the Indian economy. Dr. Anandh highlighted that MSMEs are responsible for generating over 10 million jobs, illustrating their evolution from conventional manufacturing units to multifaceted entities engaged in trading and services. He commended the government’s initiatives aimed at simplifying regulations and promoting public procurement while underscoring the necessity of equitable resource distribution and the establishment of training centers in both urban and rural areas.

In an inspiring discourse on the transformation of South Canara, Mr. Sudhakar Pai, Past Chairman of CII Karnataka State Council and Chairman & Managing Director of Kanara Consumer Products Ltd., shared the remarkable journey of the region from a state of poverty and a meager literacy rate of 12% to becoming a beacon of technological innovation and educational advancement. He also acknowledged the legacy of Syndicate Bank, scheduled to celebrate its centenary next year, as a pivotal institution that has historically supported local industries and entrepreneurs by financing businesses with jewelry as collateral.

The event attracted prominent figures, including Mr. Ajith Kamath, Chairman of the CII Mangaluru District Council and Managing Director of Ajith Enterprises, as well as Mr. Natraj Hegde, Vice Chairman of the CII Mangaluru District Council and CEO of S N Cryogenic, alongside past chairpersons of CII Mangalore.

CII Mangalore Integrate 2024 was meticulously designed to promote collaboration and facilitate an exchange of insights among delegates. With approximately 120 participants hailing from diverse sectors, coupled with 15 exhibitors showcasing innovative solutions, the event underscored Mangalore’s growing potential as an industrial hub. It highlighted the significance of collective efforts in addressing business challenges and fostering sustainable growth in the region.
